After talking with different Seniors and parents, I have developed a new program for Senior Reps. Here it is:

You must apply by the end of your Junior Year (actually June 15)
Reps will be selected and posted on my blog by June 30th.

Rep Sessions will be held during the summer between your Junior and Senior Year - last day for Senior Rep sessiona are Aug 15. This gives plenty of time for me to process all your Rep cards and get them to you to pass out on the first day of school.

What I am looking for:

You must like having your photo taken
Live in the Newberg-Dundee & McMinnville Areas.
Agree to promote and hand out your rep cards
Be a Rep for Jolie Miller photography only
Get me a release form signed byyou and your parents

Here's what you get:

Free* Senior Rep Session
A CD of low-res pics for your Facebook, MySpace, etc.
40 Rep Cards. They will have your pic on them with the Studio info in them to hand out to your friends.
An opportunity to earn print credit or cash for each friend you refer and they book a session. You will get a credit to your account aftyer their session. They must turn in your card for you to get credit. Also your friends will get 10% off their session and prints.
A $50 prepaid Visa card will be awarded to the Senior with the highest number of referrals by Jan. 1st of your Senior year.

Also. . .I am always looking for newborns and
Mommys in their last trimester to take pictures of!

I would love to capture your last moments of pregnancy and

then your little bundle of joy in the most tender moments of their lives!

Newborns take their best pictures in the first week of life. I recommend taking their newborn pics during this time, although it is not mandatory. Just keep in mind that older newborns are less likely to sleep and are less likely to curl up into cute poses on towels or mom's/dad's forearm. Also, baby acne and colic tend to appear in older newborns.

I am also booking Baby's 1st Year Session Packages. This is a great way to capture your Baby's milestones. I recommend (again not mandatory) taking their pictures at Newborn, 3 months, 9 months, and 1 year old. The 1 Year Old Session is a longer session, as it will include a birthday session with cake. I offer my homemade cakes, simple cakes with whipped topping and a #1 birthday candle for your baby to play with Or you choose to bring your own if you baby has certain allergies or you have them on a certain diet. Balloon are also part of this session, in color of your choice. This session is usually done at my studio.

Please note that my studio is small for a reason. This is to keep parties small as to not distract your baby. Since there are many new things to distract your baby during a session, I ask that moms and dads try and refrain from calling their baby or shaking a toy behind my head. This results in your baby looking at you rather than the camera - and therefore giving you mediocre shots. I want to give you their Best shots!

I will not be scheduling any sessions until the end of May 2010. I will be on a much needed long vacation. I will still be able to get my emails while I am out. Please feel free to contact me via email.

This also goes for any orders submitted whether through the mail or online. I will not be able to process any orders until mid-May. All orderd received while I am out will be processed first with high priority, so I get them back faster. So for deadline's sake, all orders placed between April 5 through May 21, 2010, will be processed and placed on May 21, 2010.

I will be holding limited studio sessions for the Toy n Joy Program.
A new unwrapped toy and $5 will get you a Free Holiday Session ($40 value) and a 5x7 print ($15 value) from your session. No additional purchase is required. However, if you would like to order additional prints they will be available to order online. The studio is small space and can only hold one small family at a time. If your family is larger than 4, please let me know so we can arrange to hold you session someplace else. Also please inform me of which Holiday your family celebrates, so I can have the Studio prepared appropriately.

This is also secure and I never see you payment information. All I get is your order and your name & address.

You should have gotten a Session ID and password via email from me or in your paperwork. If you no longer have this information, or never received it, please email me and I will be happy to get it to you.

If you have any questions regarding an order, please ask before placing your order. Since I have no control over handling payments, I cannot cancel orders. The best I can do is issue a refund, for cancelled orders, minus the 18% the Online Ordering Company charges me. This is why I say to contact me before you place an order if you have any questions or concerns.

If you still need to cancel a placed order, please contact me as soon as possible. Orders placed are normally processed and sent to the lab within 24 hours of placing your order.

Studio

Just an update on the studio. . .

Tenative opening date is Sept 2009.

This all depends on getting the outside finished so you have a way to get in. Right now it would take a big step up to get in.

Also, due to popular demand of a white background, I only have that color up and ready to go. I can offer a blue screen backdrop where I change the blue to be something else (kinda like in the movies :) ). For smaller subjects like babies, I can still set up my black backdrop. However, if you would like to request to use the studio, be prepared to be photographed against a white backdrop.

What this means to you, no distracting backgrounds, also it will match most any outfit and props.

I will keep you posted throughout the summer as things progress and Sept gets closer!

Easter is almost here. If you have reserved yoru session date it is not too late! To be able to guarantee your pictures are in by Easter, all session must be held by April 3, 2008.

I have extended my Eater session openings to open up more session times. Last day for Easter session will be April 16, 2009!

Studio Update

Due to such a cold and snowy winter, I was not able to get as much as I planned done on the studio. I am now aiming for a Fall Grand Opening.

For those interested in studio sessions, please email me and I will keep you updated on the progress and when I will begin booking the studio.

Also, please keep in mind the studio was only built large enought to shoot one adult or two small children at a time. For larger group sessions, I will only be booking outdoor or on location sessions.

Senior Rep Program

What is a Senior Rep?
Senior Reps are current Juniors from local high schools that are chosen to promote my Senior photography services.

What do Senior Reps do?
You promote Jolie Miller Photography by spreading the word about the services to fellow classmates and get students to sign up to receive more information. This is done by word of mouth; distributing your custom studio business card and other creative ways you choose.

What do I get for my efforts?
A photography session FOR FREE! (Held June - Aug between your Jr & Sr years)
A set of custom made referral cards
A $12 portrait credit for each person you refer who completes a photography session
After 5 booked referrrals - Get a free Senior Folio that holds 8 - 4x5 of your photos (your choice) to show off to your friends!

How many reps are there?
Two to four per school. You may feel free to work independently or as a team, if it suits you.

What type of person can be a Senior Rep?
Any rising Senior for the class of 2010. Just think about your friends at your school, or other schools you may talk to or hang out on a regular basis. You can also pass on your cards to those outside your circle and still get the credit when they book their session! If you are willing to hand them a card to promote Jolie Miller Photography, you can be a Senior Rep!

How do I apply?
Interested rising Seniors should view details above and review all the details and expectations associated with this activity. Those selected will need to sign a simple contract (requires parent signature for those under 18) and schedule a time to do their photo shoot. Our Family Vacation

We took a week off and went to Orlando. We had a lot of fun. It was fun watching our little girl meet Mickey. We had breakfast with Lilo, Stitch, Mickey & Pluto. We visited the Magic Kingdom, vistied Mickey at his house, met the Princesses, went on rides in Fantasyland before going back to the condo for a nap. We also visited Epcot, the Animal Kingdom, and HollywoodStudios. We wend to the Kennedy Space Center and saw the Shuttle for STS-125 on launch pad 39A ready for its launch in October. We had fun, on week was not enought time to see everything we wanted to. So we will go back . . . one day!

New Studio

I am so excited to announce the building of my new studio! I will be using my studio for Children and Senior Sessions. Once the studio is ready, Newberg & Dundee outdoor locations will still have no travel charge. Outside this area, please contact me for my reasonable travel rates. I have to do this due to the increase of gas costs (sorry).

Once my studio is ready, I will be having a Grand Opening with Grand Savings on Session fees and Portrait Sheets!

A BIG THANK YOU to all my clients and repeat clients this studio wouldn't be possible without you! You recommendation is the biggest compliment I can receive! Due to increase in clientele getting a Studio is the next step so I can offer more session times and options!
